Flat Earth beliefs and schizoid psychosis in the 'Truth Community'.

 

Just thinking out loud.......

I cannot grasp what is driving the current sub-current of belief in flat-Earthism.

It defies not only any rational or logical cognitive framework but even defies the concept even of a conceptual framework.

Flat-Earth belief is almost purposefully and maliciously irrational and the fact that it requires a completely implausible and impossible set of circumstances in order for it to be true doesn't seem to  bother Flat-Earth people who are happy to 'invent' the universe as they go along in order to create a weird fantasy backdrop for their Flat-Earth reality.

Then I tried to think like a schizophrenic.

When I looked at Flat-Earth from the viewpoint of the schizophrenic it fit and made a kind of sense.

The only cognitive framework within which Flat-Earth makes any sense is within the concept of extreme mental illness.

I say this because for the schizophrenic personality, the whole of reality has become both unreal and threatening.

A schizophrenic will look at the horizon and the sun set and will 'see' or 'perceive' an unreal cardboard sky like a movie backdrop and a sun watching him or her, as if it were a spotlight, placed there, to peer at him, as he goes about his business.

They will know, either rightly or wrongly, but partially rightly, that this is all an illusion, and that there is something 'behind' and 'beyond' the cardboard sky and the sun staring at them, like a bright burning eye, watching them moving to-and-fro on the surface of the unreal stage which has been set for them.

The sense of total unreality is absolutely central to understanding why people believe in Flat-Earthism, because despite their protestations and claims, logic and scientific measurements can never carry the argument.

The sense of a mechanistic, Newtonian rational universe, entirely dissolves as a plausible reality to the shizoid mind, who knows, that there is something MUCH BIGGER going on. Again, they are partially right, but in a sense, are being exposed to too much information, which their human mind and senses cannot handle. 

So..... in order to circumvent this, the schizophrenic Flat Earther has to externalise or project their sense of unreality to the Earth and everyone living here as a whole, in order to feel 'normal' with their unreality.

This way the Flat-Earther is the one who 'knows' that the Earth is flat, and everyone else is conveniently wrong.

The larger the Flat-Earth group gets, the more comfort, solace and security these schizophrenics feel about their own delusions which by sheer force of cultural resonance and repetition actually gain reality in the real world and as we have seen, become a cultural current in their own right.

Therefore, it is no use arguing with a Flat-Earther because you are probably dealing with someone who is medically insane and at the same time, has their whole reality invested in this belief. A man will fight to their last brain-cell to defend their sense of reality.

I write this both as a personal investigation, and I am glad to have been able to solve a minor riddle in my own mind, but also at exasperation at how far this self-serving cult of mental-illness has infiltrated the Truth Movement and succeeded in largely discrediting the conspiracy movement as a whole. 

I also believe that there are non mentally ill agents and perps involved in promulgating the Flat-Earth information, but what is surprising is the sheer level of up-take amongst people in conspiracy circles. The Flat-Earth schizophrenia hypothesis explains this riddle.

Flat-Earth beliefs allows the schizophrenic to be the sane-one at last, and the rest of humanity to be the ones in error. One can understand why this might be appealing to such people.

So the prevalence of Flat Earth beliefs, although apparently laughable and ridiculous, signals a disturbingly wide distribution of psychotic and shizoid cognitive patterns, in our online communities.

THE BEST PLACE TO HIDE

                                 

It’s quite possible and perhaps even likely that we are all at home to these spirits one way or another, but they are so well integrated into our consciousness that we think they are us. This reminds me of the powerful scene from the Guy Ritchie movie Revolver where Jake is seemingly enrolled on a path of self-discovery by two mysterious men who want him to break free from his greatest enemy and they do this by repeatedly robbing him and manipulating him to the extent that he is forced to abandon everything he holds dear including his ego, after which he discovers that this is not his authentic self but a parasite which only has its own protection and nourishment in mind, pun not intended. This is what is known throughout the story as Sam Gold: a mysterious enemy which is feared by everyone but has never been seen and in the words of one of the mysterious men from the film who seem able to read Jake’s mind:

“You’ve heard that voice for so long you believe it to be you; you believe it to be your best friend.”

He then asks:

“Where’s the best place an opponent should hide?”

“In the very last place you would ever look.”

“He’s all up here pretending to be you, you’re in a game Jake: you’re in THE game; everyone’s in his game and nobody knows it. And all of this, this is his world. He owns it. He controls it. He tells you what to and when to do it.”

“He’s behind all the pain there ever was, behind every crime ever committed. And right now, he’s telling you he doesn’t even exist.”

“We just put you to war with the only enemy that ever existed and you think he’s your best friend.”

More ominously, if we remember the fate of Joe Fisher “No one lives and displeases Gold.” Many have interpreted the character of Sam Gold to represent the ego, and within the context of the story this explanation fits, but could it not also be that Sam Gold represents one of the Operators, or one of the Tempters surreptitiously influencing us? The movie shows us that Sam Gold is not the authentic self so then what is the ego? Could it not be a convenient place for the discarnate entities to hide? As Avi, one of the two mysterious men from the film says:

“Where’s the best place an opponent should hide? In the very last place you’ve ever look, he’s hiding behind your pain Jake, you’re protecting him with your pain embrace your pain and you will win this game.”

“If you change the rules of what controls you, you will change the rules on what you can control.”

This is why the voices harassed Evelyn Waugh, playing on his insecurities: in his youth Waugh had homosexual experiences and much of his novel Brideshead Revisited seems based on the life he had at Oxford and frequenting a circle of members of the elite and aristocracy and this is one of the things the voices taunt him with. Once he seems to have ostensibly defeated the voices by failing to be cowed by them and not even being afraid of the bizarre prospect of being captured by the Spanish and drawing a virtue of noble self-sacrifice from the prospect and finally by abandoning the nonsense of Margaret’s phantasmagorical teasing and going to sleep, he emerges from his cabin to find that the voices have left the confines of his cabin and now appear to be amongst his fellow passengers:

“That’s Gilbert Pinfold, the writer.”

“That common little man? It can’t be.”

“Have you read his books? He has a very peculiar sense of humour, you know.”

“He is very peculiar altogether. His hair is very long.”

“He’s wearing lipstick.”

“He’s painted up to the eyes.”

“But he’s so shabby. I thought people like that were always smart.”

“There are different types of homosexual, you know. What are called “poufs” and “nancies”—that is the dressy kind. Then there are the others they call “butch”. I read a book about it. Pinfold is a “butch”.”

“Oh, Pinfold lives in great style I can tell you. Footmen in livery.”

“I can guess what he does with the footmen.”

“Not any more. He’s been impotent for years, you know. That’s why he’s always thinking of death.”

“Is he always thinking of death?”

“Yes. He’ll commit suicide one of these days, you’ll see.”

“I thought he was a Catholic. They aren’t allowed to commit suicide, are they?”

“That wouldn’t stop Pinfold. He doesn’t really believe in his religion, you know. He just pretends

to because he thinks it aristocratic. It goes with being Lord of the Manor.”

“…There he is, drunk again.”

“He looks ghastly.”

“A dying man, if ever I saw one.”

“Why doesn’t he kill himself?”

“Give him time. He’s doing his best. Drink and drugs. He daren’t go to a doctor, of course, for fear he’d be put in a home.”

“Best place for him, I should have thought.”

Once the experience is over and he is safely returned to England he consults with Dr. Drake who tells him:

“Lots of people hear voices from time to time—nearly always offensive.”

If such a thing were the construction of one’s own consciousness, why would they generally be offensive? From a psychological perspective such a thing would make no sense. It would seem much more logical that these voices are NOT part of the psyche and are inimical to it and somehow, they benefit from attacking the person in question.

People as diverse as Philip K Dick, Mahatma Ghandi, Winston Churchill, Anthony Hopkins and Brian Wilson had all reportedly heard voices. Some relentlessly critical and offensive and some, ostensibly seeming to be helpful, but in the case of Ghandi before the end of his life a voice apparently told him:

“You are on the right track, move neither to your left, nor right, but keep to the straight and narrow.”

It might have been more useful if the voice had told him some crackpot was going to assassinate him. Ghandi also said, of the voice which he attributed to God itself:

“Charitable critics impute no fraud to me, but suggest that I am highly likely to be acting under some hallucination. The result for me, even then, will not be far different from what it would be if I was laying a false claim. A humble seeker that I claim to be has need to be most cautious and, to preserve the balance of mind, he has to reduce himself to zero before God will guide him. Let me not labour this point.”

“The hearing of the Voice was preceded by a terrific struggle within me. Suddenly the Voice came upon me. I listened, made certain it was the Voice, and the struggle ceased. I was calm. The determination was made accordingly, the date and the hour of the fast were fixed…”

There are two things which ought to stand out in Ghandi’s account, the fact that the hearing of the voice was ‘preceded by a terrific struggle within’ which we can perhaps assume was a kind of hormonal crisis, the kind we have seen with the story of Barbara O’Brien, we can therefore assume that Ghandi may have experienced a similar condition to Barbara O’Brien, namely Adrenochrome toxicity but also this seems to be a factor not only of secret occult groups but also UFO groups as is referenced in Jacques Vallee’s book Messengers of Deception:

“For every individual who is openly identified as a contactee, how many more have received what they regard as a ‘secret illumination’? It is apparent that the transformation they undergo can strike at any place and at any age. Is it purely random, then, or do the UFOs select their ‘victims’? Does it spread like an epidemic, or does it develop like a psychosis?”

Anthony Hopkins went on record in a 1993 News of the World interview:

“I’ve always had a little voice in my head, particularly when I was younger and less assured…While onstage, during classical theatre the voice would suddenly say, ‘Oh, you think you can do Shakespeare, do you?’ Recently, I was being interviewed on television and the voice inside my head said to me, ‘Who the hell do you think you are. You’re just an actor, what the hell do you know about anything’”.

Brian Wilson is one of the most high-profile people to go on record about hearing voices, his voice was typically threatening:

“Well, a voice is saying: ‘I’m going to hurt you, I’m going to kill you.’ And I’d say: ‘Please don’t kill me.’”

Like the Evelyn Waugh voices but seemingly more menacing, I wonder if the tenor of the voice changes depending on how you react to them; as we saw with Evelyn Waugh, he refused to be intimidated by the voices, even though he was under the delusion they were actual physical agents, it was only when he thought he was going mad that his defences seemed to crumble, but Waugh despite his somewhat dissolute student life and obese drugged form in later life, served in the Royal Marines and was given a position of command; he was prepared to fight or even if all odds were against him surrender, but on his own, noble terms. I suspect the voices see what they can get away with and if their victim proves to be made of stronger stuff then they adapt their tactics, though it would still appear that their final goal is either the destruction or complete possession of their victim. Furthermore, in his conversation with the doctor who has told him that they were part of his own subconscious Pinfold/Waugh is puzzled:

“What I can’t understand is this…if I wanted to draw up an indictment of myself, I could make a far blacker and more plausible case than they did. I can’t understand.”

Mr. Pinfold/Evelyn Waugh never understood this; nor has anyone been able to suggest a satisfactory explanation. I have an explanation. What Pinfold means is that although the voices were insulting to him, if the attacks were from his own mind, then he would have been able to draw up a far stronger line of personal attack on himself. The attacks were very general: attacking his excessive use of drugs and alcohol and his previous homosexuality, but nothing very specific or damning about him as a person and his decisions, just somewhat general comments about his lifestyle choices. The reason might be that possibly the ‘voices’ can only hear your thoughts in the present moment but do not have a deeper access to your memories and your past deeds. Since they do not have that level of access to information one might assume that they do not come from the self but are interlopers and opportunists which exist in a kind of mental astral realm and can pick up on people’s thoughts and in exceptional circumstances such as Waugh’s experiences with his unique combination of drugs and personal stress, can in turn be heard themselves, at which point presumably, knowing that they can be heard, they start to mentally abuse and torture that person for their own demonic pleasure.

While shaving he hears the family of voices conversing about him which develops from the lines that he drinks too much and to his own suicide. The voices make no pretence at this stage that he is not a party to their dialogue and they directly address him

“‘I know you can hear me Gilbert, why don’t you kill yourself’ Then Goneril’s steely voice cut in: ‘I can tell you what he was doing on deck. He was screwing up his courage to jump overboard. He longs to kill himself, don’t you, Gilbert. All right, I know you’re listening down there. You can hear me, can’t you, Gilbert? You wish you were dead, don’t you, Gilbert? And a very good idea, too. Why don’t you do it, Gilbert? Why not? Perfectly easy. It would save us all—you too, Gilbert—a great deal of trouble.’”

He emerges from his cabin, believing the voices are a product of some old war-time inter-ship communication system which hasn’t been decommissioned properly, and emerges onto the boat deck to find everyone talking about him in an incessant dialogue.

They encouraged him to commit suicide but Waugh being a Catholic and a fairly successful man, wealthy and probably in his own way, quite pleased with himself, such an effort wouldn’t lead to their desired results so instead they settle for continual abuse, except one of them, a character called Margaret.

It seems that what the voices want from Gilbert is his attention and when the threat of violence fails to cow him and he reveals that he is prepared to physically fight, even in his infirm and bloated condition, then the voices try a different approach.

This leads to the development of the character: Margaret who reveals that she is impressed by how Gilbert bravely confronted the prospect of hooligans which he faced down outside his door and how he nobly chooses to offer himself as a sacrifice to preserve the security and safety of the secret agent which the Spanish authorities were trying to capture. She declares herself in love with him and ready to yield herself to him. This story becomes increasingly bizarre until at one point Margaret is all ready to enter Pinfold’s nocturnal bed chamber and yield herself to him utterly. Naturally she never materialises.

The voices of Margaret’s family are overheard coaching her and preparing her for her nuptials and things take a grossly comic turn:

 “That’s my beauty. Go and take what’s coming to you. Listen, my Peg, you know what you’re in for, don’t you?”

“Yes, Father, I think so.”

“It’s always a surprise. You may think you know it all on paper, but like everything else in life it’s never quite what you expect when it comes to action. There’s no going back now. Come and see me when it’s all over. I’ll be waiting up to hear the report. In you go, bless you.”

Pinfold then awaits her in the darkness, in his delirium, expecting a girl he’d never met before whom he can hear speaking with her family in her cabin and who can read his mind which is all somehow connected to some kind of radio technology left over from the war, to come into his cabin and have sex with him. There is some hesitancy however on her part in showing herself and her father the General is surprised that things have not developed to their natural conclusion.

“What the hell’s going on? You ought to be in position by now. Haven’t had a Sitrep. Isn’t the girl over the Start Line?”

It would seem that although Margaret and the hooligans’ approach is radically different, the hooligans attempt to instil fear in Pinfold while Margaret tries to instil love, in a manner of speaking they are both doing the same thing, that is getting ‘attention’ and in that way drawing a kind of energy from Pinfold.

Although Pinfold is unwell and heavily drugged it seems something in his mind is able to perfectly well articulate a highly complicated and serpentine plot, almost Dickensian in its colourful cast of characters and their high levels of melodrama, but the one common thread which runs through the whole experience is that of abuse, abuse and denigration of himself. Since the experience and the organisation and colourful characterisation of the voices are so similar to the voices which haunted Barbara O’Brien then we can collate these experiences within the same category.

So, we might therefore draw the conclusion that Barbara O’Brien’s analysis that the voices were from her own consciousness and were there to help her become sane again, was incorrect since nothing of this nature can be drawn from Evelyn Waugh’s similar experience.

So, if we can allow ourselves the belief that such a thing as God exists, then logically there must be an invisible world of the spirit which accommodates a varied flora and fauna of disembodied entities. Not all of these entities have our best interests at heart and perhaps for some unknown reason, they are directly opposed to us.

The Martinist Order is an advanced ‘psychic’ society within the framework of Rosicrucianism. A great deal of material from the so called Traditional Martinist Order, based in San Jose California presumably part of AMORC, was leaked onto the internet some years ago. Interestingly the symbol for the Martinist organisation is two triangles, one black and one white, interlocked to form a what is commonly called the Seal of Solomon or Star of David. The following extract from this leaked material is from Associate Discourse number 14 and is interesting in that it shows that they acknowledge the changes in brain chemistry which higher initiates undergo and one must try to resist being drawn-in by the colourful new-age language employed to make some of the changes undergone seem generally beneficial and positive. For instance the phrase ‘astral images’ can be translated as ‘hallucinations’ seeing things which are not there, and a common symptom of advanced psychosis and schizoaffective disorders:

 

"A very interesting point worth mentioning at this time is that the circulation of the nervous force within man puts him in communication with the universe. In highly evolved mystics, there occurs what in occultism is sometimes called the circulation of astral images. These astral images generally appear to be coming from the back of the head. This is not altogether exact, but it will give an idea as to the nature of this phenomenon….This will be important when we study the actions of the invisible world so important to every Martinist."

 

Similarly the phrase ‘being put in communication with the universe’ sounds wonderfully exciting and like some jolly intergalactic adventure, but what it really implies is the hearing of voices and seeing beings which are not visible to other people, no different to the three ghostly forms at Barbara O Brien’s bedside telling her she was part of a secret experiment.

 

This psychic transformation is something which appears to be part of the UFO agenda. Vallee discover a group in Palo Alto California operating from the campus of Stanford University, which appeared to be a cross between new-age spirituality and UFO cult:

 

“They were seeking real truth. The text was signed by flying-saucer believers who called themselves H.I.M. or Human Individual Metamorphosis. The announcement continued: ‘...are attempting to completely rise above their human nature under the direction of individuals who are members of a kingdom above human who have come in at close range to the Earth to help.’ They compare this period of overcoming their human nature to the metamorphic process of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.”

 

Vallee attends a talk by the group and a bearded man speals in terms of personal psychic transformation much like the Rosicrucian groups and possibly the kind of ‘transformations’ undergone by Evelyn Waugh and Barbara O Brien:

 

“They are now just finishing completing their own physical metamorphosis. Their bodies have almost completely changed over physically, chemically, biologically. They look just like you and I on the surface. Within a few months there will be a demonstration. When we have changed our bodies over through this process, we no longer have to endure disease or decay or death.”

 

Vallee reports that one person who joined the group in 1975 left the group after two months having some concerns:

 

“These two people are dangerous. It is not hypnosis. It is thought transplant."'

And when during one of the talks someone from the audience asked:

"How do you know that you're not being deceived by demonic forces?"

The unconvincing response which Vallee reports may lead one to rightly ask whether this is the reality behind much of the UFO phenomenon which cannot be explained by secret American post war technology. Vallee asks one of his friends who had attended a meeting of the Order of Melchizedek some questions about the order and its aims. His friend report on someone called Dr Grace from the Order of Melchizedek who delivered lectures:

 

"I asked her if she had ever seen a UFO. She had. She described to me what she had seen once in the eastern part of the United States, with her husband. It was a craft, only fifty feet or so away, and she felt that the beings on board were communicating directly to her, into her brain." 

 

If Dr Grace was telling the truth then it would appear that the people who were leading the UFO and New-Age cults of the 1970’s were doing so under the instructions of voices in their heads. We have seen how Barbara O Brien’s voices and hallucinations manages to create an extremely cogent continuum of reality, and at times there were even things which the voices told her which she herself could not have possibly known and which potentially helped save her from danger on several occasions.

 

Returning to O Brien’s account she is told by the Operators that some humans are actually almost fully possessed by the Operators. These were known as ‘Dummies’ a Dummy had apparently lost its personality and personal volition and was fully under the control of the Operators:

 

“I was horrified. Why would an Operator want to make a dummy out of a Thing? “Well, Operators use dummys as hatracks,” Nicky explained. “Most of the great comic entertainers are dummys. Bob Hope, for instance. When an entertainer like Hope is performing, he’s merely giving out what some Operator is stimulating him to do. There’s no latticework to interfere with the receiving of the stimuli. In certain situations, a dummy can be quite an asset to a clever Operator. It’s something like having a puppet on a string.”

 

Interestingly MRI scans have been conducted on the brains of those with psychopathic personality disorder. Many psychopathic murderers have historically attributed their sprees to some other agent operating through them, though of course their testimonies have been rejected as the ravings of madmen. But what if there were something to it. The research conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison shows that the brain scans of psychopaths show extremely diminished activity in the prefrontal cortex area of the brain. The prefrontal cortex is the area which is linked to a person’s personality, the will to live, personal volition and decision making. This really is the area which is the focal point of most people’s lives and is in essence the part of the brain which makes them who they are, the decisions the make, the plans they have and how they act in social interactions.

Since the pre-frontal cortex is the decision making, will and personal focus area of the brain, then what we may be observing in the psychopathic personality is the person who is lacking a will and the ability to make their own decisions. So who or what is making those decisions for them?

Perhaps these people have acquiesced their will to the hidden masters, or ‘extra-terrestrial’ beings which those leading the UFO cults claimed to be in contact with. What are these beings? Extra-terrestrial, extra-dimensional beings? Demons? Most people live their lives mentally driving through life in the front seat of their car but the psychopath appears to be sat in the front seat, but is not the one driving. Something else is directing the course. This may give an insight into the strange mystery that many of the people who had left the H.I.M. group:

“The people who left their group would just go home and, for several weeks, simply stare at the walls.”

This theme of the schizophrenic seeming to be extra sensitive to emotions and people’s thoughts is something which is later revealed to even more interesting and thought-provoking degrees as it is suggested that the schizophrenic, through whatever new sub-conscious faculties are brought to light as a result of their illness, apparently develop the ability to read people’s deepest thoughts and motivations. Barbara states:

“many psychiatrists had noted, among the patients who did talk, an odd ability to throw the doctor off balance by a feat which might have been called mind reading except that the psychiatrists described it as ‘the schizophrenics uncanny sensitivity to unverbalized and only partially conscious feelings in the psychiatrist.’”

Barbara’s belief is that some innate power of the unconscious mind which she calls ‘Something’ and which during the early phases of her recovery from schizophrenia this faculty performs astounding feats which defy reason and logic. One time the ‘something’ urges her to go to Las Vegas, she only has five dollars but the ‘something’ urges her to go to a specific roulette wheel and then that ‘something’ tells her which numbers to put her money on.

“As my money was running low, I decided that I would try to find a job whose chores were not too demanding. As I started out, Something urged me to walk in the opposite direction from the bus line, toward a large building a few blocks away. Something urged me so violently to enter the building that it would have been impossible, almost, not to have gone in. I went to the building’s personnel department and found the employment manager not at all surprised to see me. She had phoned an agency that morning for a receptionist. She hired me.”

According to Barbara, the ‘mind reading’ ability which some psychiatrists have apparently observed in schizophrenics is part of the Something of the unconscious mind.

 “Something can extend into the unconscious minds of others. Nevertheless, it was nice to know that other schizophrenics had demonstrated a similar talent. It made the business more normal, at least for us schizophrenics. Anyway, it wasn’t witchcraft.”

This is something for which I have long sought an explanation as during my travels around the world and continued attempts to recruit me into what, for convenience’ sake I will call ‘the Illuminati’ despite that name evoking an automatic response of derision. The people I had contact with were Freemasons, but to say they attempted to recruit me into the Freemasons seems to fall short of the truth, since these people were of an elite branch of Freemasons, it might therefore be more accurate to describe them as Illuminated Freemasonry, my personal conception of what these people are is something I would call ‘The Family’ since there seems to be a genetic component connecting all of these people and this is what has been generally referred to by such researchers as the great Fritz Springmeier as The Illuminati Bloodline.

 

 

 

CS Lewis, Illuminati Schizophrenia, and the Macroscopic Control of Planet Earth.

I have done a moderate amount of research in previous books and articles which suggests that the Illuminati and ancient secret cults have specifically found methods to prompt changes in the mental condition of those within their group and also those they wish to recruit. Specifically it is my belief that schizophrenia represents the apotheosis of the secret society mystery school experience and at this point the mystae becomes directly connected to the true source of the secret organization and can receive instructions directly from whatever unseen forces and presences actually direct the group’s activity. These are the ‘hidden masters’ which Helena Blavatsky alludes to. My work in this field isn’t new and there’s one book in particular: That Hideous Strength by CS Lewis, which details, from what I presume must be a position of personal occult knowledge, the process of drawing the initiate into contact with the shadowy discarnate beings which seemed to be directly involved in the events of the story.

“He understood the whole business now. Frost was not trying to make him insane; at least not in the sense Mark had hitherto given to the word "insanity." Frost had meant what he said. To sit in the room was the first step towards what Frost called objectivity--the process whereby all specifically human reactions were killed in a man so that he might become fit for the fastidious society of the Macrobes. Higher degrees in the asceticism of anti-nature would doubtless follow: the eating of abominable food, the dabbling in dirt and blood, the ritual performances of calculated obscenities. They were, in a sense, playing quite fair with him--offering him the very same initiation through which they themselves had passed and which had divided them from humanity, distending and dissipating Wither into a shapeless ruin while it condensed and sharpened Frost into the hard, bright, little needle that he now was.”

The activities described by CS Lewis in his protagonist’s initiation into the inner circle of the N.I.C.E organization seem to evoke that kind of activities which Aleister Crowley became known for, such as coprophilia and bestiality. Lewis, through his character, correctly surmises that these activities are designed to remove the man from himself, from any value judgements of right or wrong, or even to have any personal considerations of what is good for themselves. This is very clearly a form of mental illness and one might presume that the final stage is total abdication of ones own will and personal wishes to be dominated by another consciousness, whether that consciousness is human or non-human. If the consciousness is human, then we can say that this person is mind controlled, if the consciousness is non-human and non-corporeal, then we can say that this person has become schizophrenic. Both such are extremely well represented within the Illuminati and its worldwide network of groups of all types, whose goal and methods are the same, this is what we can know broadly as ‘The Illuminati’. The Illuminati is not one group, it is a method and a goal, and any group which shares these, we can term part of the Illuminati.

The members of CS Lewis fictionalized version of the Illuminati are a mixed bunch who seem to operate at differing levels of mental illness and different levels of awareness of the group, its aims and its true masters. There is a lesbian sadist, known as the Fairy, who is responsible for the media outreach of the group and also policing and internal security. There is the high-flying sociopath Lord Feverstone whose work with the NICE is solely motivated by personal gain and literally doesn’t care that demonic creatures are trying to take over planet Earth as long as he gets paid. The human leader of the N.I.C.E is John Wither, he is in full astral and mental contact with the disembodied trans-dimensional Macrobes and consequently he isn’t really quite there at all as a normal functioning human being. The character rarely sleeps and seems to exist in a perpetual dream like state between two worlds. As a result of this the character is capable of projecting his presence anywhere he wishes like a ghostly image. Upon seeing the physical reappearance of Wither on the road outside the institute just as he was resolved to physically escape from the institute, Studdock is seized with such terror upon seeing Wither whom he was certain he had just left behind him at the institute some moments ago that his resolve to escape evaporates and powerlessness seizes him utterly.

The ongoing weakening of Mark Studdock’s personal will and personality is the key theme in the process of his developing inculcation into the inner workings of the group, ending with a final initiation where he is asked, in the fashion of the Templars who possibly were also under control of the Macrobes, to spit upon a cross. In a similar vein to reports of the Knights Templar, the characters of the inner circle of the NICE all worshipped a disembodied head. However they weren’t all quite worshipping the same thing since there were levels of awareness as to the ultimate signification of the talking head. The rationalist scientist Dr Filostrato, dedicated at all cost to human scientific development, believes that the head is being artificially sustained with science and that the head contains the resident consciousness of a murdered scientist from the French revolution. The truth known only to three people however is that the head is really a housing for the consciousness of the non-human Macrobes, and this illustration and indeed the whole organization of the N.I.C.E represents the strange crossing point of science with the Satanic occult, which we can have a suspicion about by examining the scientific work of the Nazis, or of the development of post war rocketry technology in United States which seemed to be a strange symbiosis of Nazi war criminals and Aleister Crowley’s OTO. The assumption might be that engaging in occult rituals to contact demonic beings may be a way for scientists to gain inspiration or even direct knowledge from this other realm. Lewis seems to have written That Hideous Strength to be more prescient even than George Orwell’s 1984 in his description of an ostensibly secular atheistic government institution which secretly is in league with demonic beings which are deeply antithetical to human life on Earth.

If we can allow ourselves to entertain the possibility that there might be a spiritual dimension with both ‘good guys’ and ‘bad guys’ then there might be ways on Earth which have been developed to contact these beings. If you cannot for one second entertain that idea, then you will no doubt find a way to deny the plausibility of what I am about to describe, since you have decided that the laws of the universe are a certain way, then no evidence or even the actual manifestation of events to the contrary, will convince you otherwise. Such is your prerogative, but eventually your road will lead you to a high barren plateau and a sudden dead-end in the middle of nowhere and your only hope will be to retrace the steps of a life and find the point of origin where you first took the diversion into error. This may happen in this world if you are lucky, if however it happens in the next world then you might just be out of luck and I would imagine it unlikely to preserve your personality and sense of self in a cosmos which you have single handedly chosen to deprive of all meaning.

For Socrates, the meaning of philosophy as reported by Plato was ‘preparation for dying’ and one might say that the only danger of living life here in this world is that, for whatever reason, you failed to adequately prepare yourself for the next one.

“I will….. show that he who has lived as a true philosopher has reason to be of good cheer when he is about to die, and that after death he may hope to receive the greatest good in the other world.”

So if a belief in the existence of the next world and some presently unmeasurable mechanism which allows for the continued existence of human consciousness, which after all seems to be some kind of non material electromagnetic field, can be said to exist, and said by no less esteemed a philosopher than Socrates, then this avenue at least might bear some preliminary investigation and some enlightened conjecture, if only to give thanks to Socrates for epistemology and the Socratic method of reasoning. And if in the event our light illuminates nothing but a wardrobe full of delusions and wishful thinking then so be it but at least we will know what’s what.

One of the primary pieces of equipment we can use for measuring the unmeasurable is our own intelligence, providing it is unencumbered by things like emotively inspired prejudice or over-reliance on the thoughts of others. In the first instance someone might immediately reject any notion of spirituality and indeed, become quite angry at the mere suggestion, because they have had a personally traumatic experience with a Catholic priest. It is natural for the psyche to react to trauma with anger as a sure defence and hope that it won’t happen again but this emotive response bypasses the intellect and reason somehow that because Catholic priests and the Catholic church, has a strong tendency toward evil, that therefore all such spiritual matters must also be of the same evil tendency. It is a logical fallacy in the same way that someone who was once served a bad cup of tea might heretofore reject not only tea but all hot drinks for ever more. It is lazy emotive thinking, and the heart is not known as an organ where rational decisions can be best made, it is therefore best for such people to try to see beyond their own pain and accept that evil doesn’t discriminate in this world and will try to work any angle it can, to wreak havoc.

The church isn’t wholly evil, but evil has certainly entered the church and allowed itself to lie undisturbed for a very long time by people who should have known better. But as we have seen, the Roman church itself was formed in ignorance of the person and ministry of Christ, and perhaps it really is the mother of harlots as depicted in the Book of Revelations.

The second form of cognitive error which will likely lead to the inability to perceive and think clearly is that of trusting your betters and letting them do your thinking for you. We all have to work after all and when we come home we have to cook, clean the car, deal with our families. Who has time to think anymore? Besides, there are people on TV and who write books who are specially employed to think for us, indeed they make their living from thinking so we don’t have to. A TV scientist like Richard Dawkins is just another convenient lifestyle solution like a dish washer, he does all the work so you don’t have to. 

The tragedy is that the general public trust such people far too much and in their naivety they imagine that the country’s media and elite educational institutions have nothing up their sleeves and no hidden agenda, or that these individuals themselves have no hidden agenda. So perhaps people ought to stop to recalibrate their own minds a moment and consider that Richard Dawkins doesn’t see any harm with paedophilia. So perhaps, these TV thinkers are not all they seem to be. Perhaps we shouldn’t let such people do our thinking for us because perhaps such people are not actually on the same side of the chessboard as we are. Perhaps they are members of the N.I.C.E or whatever literal equivalent actually exists within the UK’s scientific elite, exhorting us that no spiritual realm or God, as a fundamental arbiter of right and wrong, even exists, therefore giving them a rather valuable monopoly on right and wrong and the ability to work on whatever unpleasant secret scientific abominations they care to, without hindrance or concern for morality, ethics, pain and suffering or even consequences. Science lives in a consequence free world because it has shut out God and ethics from its considerations it has also, by the same gesture of a suicidal woman locking herself in the bathroom with a bottle of paracetamols, made a concerted decision not to heed the pleadings from outside the door not to do anything rash or stupid.

So these are largely the reasons for the spread of atheism, or knowing the unknowable. If the price were your soul is it worth staking the bet on atheism? Well, also humans are very much herd animals, at least the lesser developed of us are. One fellow online, has this fanciful theory that the Illuminati are identifiable by a specific blood group. Unfortunately he doesn’t provide any evidence or make much of a case to support a potentially interesting avenue of research. Predictably the researcher himself doesn’t have the rhesus positive factor in his blood, which no doubt makes him special, or saved, or no doubt better than those with the rhesus positive factor in every way and also that he isn’t related to monkeys. It’s all rather silly. Some people even believe rhesus negative people are being especially tracked by the secret intelligence services and there are many such websites out there to feed these silly delusions and inevitably the more you read you soon find yourself drawn into nonsense about reptilians and DNA splicing aliens. One such article written by Kate Kaiser ticks all these boxes and cites the well known fraud James Casbolt (who was actually jailed for nine years in 2016 for stalking and attempting to blackmail his ex wife, MGTOW would have saved him a lot of trouble) as a reliable source.

James Casbolt, possibly under pressure from Mr Big or the screws, or perhaps under the inducement of a couple of snout and a reduction in his sentence, has started sending out letters to ‘researchers’ such as Miles Johnstone, whose dangerous bullshit we encountered in the Evelyn Waugh, electronic harassment chapter. In one letter read out by Miles Johnstone, Casbolt revisits the old theosophy fraud of Maitreya which was originally a strange New-Age cult with very few adherents, by the strange New-Age and almost certainly Freemasonic, Benjamin Crème. Crème was an obvious fraud to anyone with half a wit, yet this much wit appears to be lacking amongst many in the conspiracy movement, but there is a suspicion amongst these people that they opened their minds just a little too widely and allowed all their common sense, intelligence and discernment to fly out. 

There also seems to be the spectre of death over these people too, considering the mysterious death of Max Spiers and it all seems to recollect at least to my mind, the ill fated delusions of the group which grew around Uri Geller, as detailed by Clive Prince and Lyn Picknet in their classic expose of the New Age and aliens movement and its ties to the security services The Stargate Conspiracy. I do not know whether Max Spiers was murdered to silence him or that he discovered anything exceptional which might threaten national security. It is claimed that he was researching a paedophile ring in the US military but no further information is released and if he did have anything of substance, then with ‘friends’ like former media man Miles Johnstone who chides people who comment on his Youtube videos if they refer to BBC paedophiles, then it is unlikely we will discover anything since Johnstone is clearly an establishment gate-keeper. Max Spiers was believed to have had some problems with a heroin addiction which Miles Johnstone believes was caused by aliens. It’s only regrettable that anyone actually takes any notice of Johnstone and perhaps it is part of Spiers misfortune that he had anything to do with Johnstone.

Since he died while under the care of his apparent girlfriend in Poland then we can safely assume that  he wouldn’t have died had he not been with those people. We could take it one step further and say that if he was murdered, then he was probably murdered by those closest to him and with the most access. Moreover he may not have been murdered for any specific secrets he may have uncovered but simply murdered for a ritual sacrifice and the fact that he was there. I believe the Polish police are specifically investigating his girlfriend in connection with his death but whether we hear anything or the matter is quietly dropped remains to be seen.

What is more disturbing is the fact that his mother received a text message some days before his death saying that he was in trouble and if anything should happen to him she ought to investigate. Quite why he didn’t immediately get on the first plane out of Poland and return to the UK at this point we cannot know, but it was also said that he suffered from anxiety disorder and may have experienced a sort of paralysis and inability to act. But again, he was apparently ‘with friends’ in Poland, so why was he not safe with them? I believe he was sacrificed by the group he was with who are likely witches and members of the occult. The sacrifice of Max Spiers would be useful to them to create both a sense of fear amongst conspiracy researchers and flaneurs, since everybody now knows about Max’s death and it was extensively covered in the tabloid press. Additionally it can create a false aura of credibility to alien/UFO research and perhaps make people believe that it isn’t merely a scam of the intelligence services and military, particularly with fraudulent old spooks like Miles Johnstone maintaining the desired narrative story and plot-line.

There is a very real sense that there is no actual story here except a series of opportunities which people like Miles Johnstone embroider to serve their purpose. As I mentioned before, even Spiers’ problem with drugs was marketed as part of the alien plot but the tragedy is there are people out there who really believe this stuff and Johnstone’s mock sincerity and emotive posturing are dragging more and more people into the dangerous web of delusion and drawing them closer to the type of dangerous new-age witchcraft cultists, who organize these UFO groups and may even have been responsible in one way or another for Spiers’ death.

The Delusion of Electronic Harassment!

The Ordeal of Evelyn Waugh.

In 1957 Evelyn Waugh published a novella The Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold, In it he details his experience of the descent into drug induced psychosis and madness which takes place whilst on-board a long boat journey to Ceylon which he takes to return to health and break an apparently long period of writer’s block.

The following is an account from Wikipedia for the sake of convenience:

Early in 1954, Waugh's doctors, concerned by his physical deterioration, advised a change of scene. On 29 January, he took a ship bound for Ceylon, hoping that he would be able to finish his novel. Within a few days, he was writing home complaining of "other passengers whispering about me" and of hearing voices, including that of his recent BBC interlocutor, Stephen Black. He left the ship in Egypt and flew on to Colombo, but, he wrote to Laura, the voices followed him.[146] Alarmed, Laura sought help from her friend, Frances Donaldson, whose husband agreed to fly out to Ceylon and bring Waugh home. In fact, Waugh made his own way back, now believing that he was being possessed by devils. A brief medical examination indicated that Waugh was suffering from bromide poisoning from his drugs regimen. When his medication was changed, the voices and the other hallucinations quickly disappeared.[147] Waugh was delighted, informing all of his friends that he had been mad: "Clean off my onion!". The experience was fictionalised a few years later, in The Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold (1957).[148]

The story can be read here, and I can strongly recommend it. It isn’t too long and it gives a fascinating first hand account of the kind of thing those suffering from electronic harassment report and we can use this text which is composed in a methodical manner, as a valuable resource to identify the purpose and nature of these auditory hallucinations.

What is striking is the apparent intelligence behind these voices and the fact that they seem to operate from a different consciousness to that of Waugh’s own. It is therefore my belief that Waugh inadvertently, due to the use of several hypnotic and sedative drugs in combination, literally established contact with another non corporeal form of consciousness, commonly these are termed ‘demons’ due to their antagonism to human beings.

At this point in his life Evelyn Waugh had become very unhealthy and was experiencing problems sleeping and had become largely dependent on various prescribed chemicals. We are told that the character of Pinfold, as well as being prescribed some unidentified grey pills, was also taking chloral and bromide of potassium as a sedative and aid to sleep.

In order to discover more about these particular drugs. I did a rudimentary Google search and found the following from Daily Alta California dated Monday 22nd December 1884. This is period of time which significantly predates Waugh’s/Pinfold’s experiences, but gives an idea of the type of effect which may be expected from the ingestion of such drugs, particularly in combination with the unnamed grey pills. It is revealed at the end of the story that Pinfold’s/Waugh’s experiences are a result of combining the medication and not telling his doctor.

Again we have to record with deep regret a sad proof that those who give or take chloral or bromide of potassium for sleeplessness are guilty of a deplorable error and do a grievous wrong. The narcotics which poison sleep also deprave the higher nerve centers, enfeeble the controlling powers of the will and leave the mind a prey to the depressing influence of a conscious loss of self respect and self-confidence. The cultured mind feels the ignominy of the intellectual and moral depreciation with great acuteness, and in the end succumbs to the sense of powerlessness to recover self-control and do right. The deprivation wrought is purely physical. The baneful influence of the lethal drug is, so to say, organic. The essential elements of the nerve tissues are blighted by the stupifying poison, as by alcohol in habitual drunkenness. In short, the recourse to chloral and bromide is precisely the same thing as recourse to alcohol. The man or woman sent to "sleep" — the mocking semblance of physiological rest — by a dose of either of these neurotizers is simply intoxicated. No wonder that habitual drunkenness of this class first impairs and then destroys the vitality of the mind organ, and places the subject of a miserable artifice at the mercy of his emotioned nature, and makes him the creature of his passions. When will the public awake to the recognition of facts with regard to these most pernicious of stupefacients? Persistence in recourse to them has no better excuse than unwillingness to search out the cause of the wakefulness which prevents natural sleep.

Pinfold’s symptoms take the form of auditory hallucinations. There are no visual hallucinations mentioned in the story and apart from his general poor health and hearing voices, Pinfold showed no other signs of mental illness. His delusions are focused around the use of various forms of technology being used to harass him and this delusion has its origins in two principal events which seem to have disturbed him somewhat prior to embarking on the sea voyage. One was what he considered a somewhat personally invasive and ill tempered radio interview he gave to the BBC at his home and the other was a strange pseudo scientific apparatus which seems to have had more in common with the occult than post-war technology.

Waugh writing about the BBC interview stated :"they tried to make a fool of me, and I don't think they entirely succeeded", while Peter Fleming of the Spectator described the interview as "the goading of a bull by matadors".

We do not know whether the strange occult box was a real element in Waugh’s experience, nevertheless he describes it in the following terms:

This Box was one of many operating in various parts of the country. It was installed, under the skeptical noses of Reginald Graves-Upton’s nephew and niece, at Upper Mewling. Mrs. Pinfold, who had been taken to see it, said it looked like a makeshift wireless-set. According to the Bruiser and other devotees The Box exercised diagnostic and therapeutic powers. Some part of a sick man or animal—a hair, a drop of blood preferably—was brought to The Box, whose guardian would then “tune in” to the “life-waves” of the patient, discern the origin of the malady and prescribe treatment.

Pinfold seems to have been receptive to the unusual ability of the magic-box to help and heal sickness but added that the device would be “An extremely dangerous device in the wrong hands,” and his weariness and credence in the possibility of such ‘technology’ having some effect is shown by his reluctance to tell his neighbor that he was ill for fear that he would use the box on him. This is a core theme of the story, and for me encapsulates the present issue within the conspiracy and truther community of supposed electronic harassment, which I believe is the error of giving an occult and spiritual phenomenon, the appearance of a technological one. 

This is kind of a sad symptom of human beings living in a world of technology they do not really understand and whose limits they have no way of measuring. If a man as astute and educated as Evelyn Waugh can have led himself to believe that his experiences on board the boat where caused by various disreputable people having access to exotic technology then it is all the more difficult for the rest of us, especially as we live in an age when such things are almost within the range of technological possibility. However, we have the example of Evelyn Waugh and his story ought to help clear up some of the misunderstandings of our present age, and it is my certain conviction that those misunderstanding and those who are promulgating them are doing a very great deal of harm. 

People such as Miles Johnson, UFO researcher also appeared on the Coast to Coast show a couple of years ago spreading more harmful delusions such as the idea that the electric power supply of a residential property can be used to mind control people and that the new energy saving light bulbs can also be used in mind control. The point is once you believe that your mind can be accessed by remote technology and you can do nothing about it then you are already under mind control. This idea IS the mind control and all of these people are perpetuating this like a deadly disease. He even claims that some people are being mind controlled by their radiators. This is a straight up schizophrenic delusion, the danger is when these ideas are presented on a national radio broadcast with a respected broadcaster like George Noory. This man is also perpetuating the myth of gray aliens as being behind this. These delusions are taken seriously and they reproduce in the minds of the listener. Miles Johnson also appears to be a friend of meddler and ruiner of many of the areas of UK activism, Belinda Mckenzie, a woman who seems to have had the strange power to ruin every activism movement she has forced her way into, and was apparently involving herself ‘in the background’ of the electronic harassment area.

Basically these people are really no help to anyone trying to do serious research into the Illuminati since these people have already been sucked into Cain Consciousness and seem intent on spreading the dangerous mind-virus of the harmful delusion of electronic mind control.

It is also worth noting that the murdered British truth-seeker Max Spiers was a friend of Miles Johnson, and by extension probably Belinda McKenzie as well. I would consider therefore that the man whether knowingly or unknowingly was walking hand in hand with the security services and occult practitioners and came to grief as a result of not being more assiduous to the company he kept.

Possibly Miles Johnston is just an honest mad man and does not have any sinister connections to the security services, but I personally do not know how anyone can know Belinda McKenzie and not know she is a spook. Miles Johnston at one point skirts teasingly at self awareness with Occam's Razor only for a nanosecond and almost shaves himself loose of some nonsense when he says:

What they’re doing is saying it’s a bad bulb so they’ve been able to use that excuse, and it’s a fairly good excuse it’s a good point, it makes sense…because noone would ever consider that they would use the light bulb as a means of optically transmitting pulsed frequencies into your brain for nefarious purposes, who would ever thing of a thing like that? But the point is that’s what they’re doing.

I’m not quite sure how anyone can send mind control signals optically into someone’s brain and I don’t think Miles does.

Indeed, at one point in The Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold, Pinfold even believes the voices are coming to him from an electric light:

Mr. Pinfold was hungry. He ordered coffee and fish and eggs and fruit. He was about to eat when, ping; the little, rose-shaded electric lamp which stood on the table before him came into action as a transmitter. The delinquent youths were awake and up on the air again, their vitality unimpaired by the excesses of the night. “Halloo-loo-loo-loo-loo. Hark-ark-ark-ark-ark,” they hallooed. “Loo in there. Fetch him out. Yoicks."

They began to give instructions for a place of meeting. “… D Deck, turn right. Got that? You’ll see some lockers. The next bulk-head. We’re waiting for you. Better come now and get it over. You’ve got to meet us some time, you know. We’ve got you, Gilbert. We’ve got you. There’s no escape. Better get it over…” Mr. Pinfold’s patience was exhausted. He must put a stop to this nonsense. Recalling some vague memories of signal procedure in the army, he drew the lamp towards him and spoke into it curtly: “Pinfold to Hooligans. Rendezvous Main Lounge 0930 hours. Out.” The lamp was not designed to be moved. His pull disconnected it in some way. The bulb went out and the voices abruptly ceased. At the same moment Glover came in to breakfast. “Hullo, something gone wrong with the light?”

Miles Johnston perhaps, is a man caught in his own ordeal, and like Gilbert Pinfold, is entirely mistaken about the source of the voices and comically fretting over light bulbs and electric lines as being a way for the voices to transmit and harass people. However Miles goes much further than Pinfold in some of his conclusions and one suspects his ordeal has lasted rather too long and the psychological damage may be irreparable at this stage since some of his conclusions seem not to have any grounding in any reality I can recognise:

They want this physical world and all its related kingdoms. Let’s make it absolutely clear, once the holographic focus of our so called holographic reality that we consider to exist…some people call it the holographic universe, if you change that focus so another form of life can physically manifest itself all forms of life which are connected to the original holographic focus will simply disappear into nothing. So this affects everything we know that is physical including all those other realms which exist in the sub-sets of that focus, some people would call it other dimensions, some people would call it the next world or whatever, all elements connected to that are at risk if this is allowed to continue…

Frankly what he is saying is not merely bad science but bad everything. Through a lack of self awareness and inability to genuinely face reality Miles has lost himself in wild chaotic seas of unreality. I honestly think Noory doesn’t really do his listenership any favours to take all this on board completely uncritically.

Much easier to say it’s the Jewish bankers working with Satan if you ask me, but perhaps that why these people are blathering on about holographic focus, grey aliens talking to you though your lightbulb, because it keeps people from thinking about fractional banking, Israel and the Freemasons.

Project Camelot, Simon Parks, all seem to be members of some kind of schizophrenic mutual support group and their delusions are wildly allowed full reign of expression much to the detriment of anyone trying to do real research.

Miles ends his interview with George Noory realizing he can pretty much say anything he likes at this point and Noory will just make an affirmative noise and wag his tail.

He could have ended the interview by saying the Moon is artificial and full of aliens, but someone else got there first with that delusion.

“,…., they are planning to LITERALLY to replace human beings as computer programmes and license those computer programmes as valid human beings.”

Riiiight....

The electronic nature of Pinfold’s harassment is first suggested to him by the things he noticed in his cabin:

The ceiling, at which Mr. Pinfold gazed, was spanned as though by a cottage beam by a white studded air-shaft and by a multiplicity of pipes and electric cable.” Along with what is described as “the continuous insect-hum of the ventilator.

Another area in this field is the so called ‘electronic voice’ phenomenon. This has led some very foolish people into seeking to open up contact with some discarnate beings which they possibly consider to be aliens or at least, ‘spiritual’. What is said to be necessary in order to open up contact is some kind of continuous background noise along which the discarnate voice can propagate itself and many people have done this in the naïve idea that they will be able to contact some kind of benign superior intelligence. In any case the intelligences are never benign and they soon come to completely dominate the lives of their poor victims.

As in the case of the electronic voice phenomenon, in Waugh’s account, it seems that the existence of It a background sound seems to act as a kind of propagation wave to the sounds of the hallucination.

…on reaching his cabin, he found added to its other noises the strains of a jazz band. Mr. Pinfold stood puzzled.

The sound of a jazz band is his first auditory hallucination and initially he believes it to be a gramophone record but later he finds that whatever the music is, it is live. In his cabin he picks up a book and tried to read, then apparently from the cabin below he hears a group of what he calls ‘bright young things’.

“Let’s try the Pocoputa Indian one,” said the young man who acted, without any great air of authority, as leader. “Oh not that. It’s so beastly,” said a girl. “I know,” said the leader. “It’s the three-eight rhythm. The Gestapo discovered it independently, you know. They used to play it in the cells. It drove the prisoners mad.” “Yes,” said another girl. “Thirty-six hours did for anyone. Twelve was enough for most. They could stand any torture but that.” “It drove them absolutely mad.” “Raving mad.” “Stark, staring mad.” “It was the worst torture of all.” “The Russians use it now.” The voices, some male, some female, all young and eager, came tumbling like puppies. “The Hungarians do it best.” “Good old three-eight.” “Good old Pocoputa Indians.” “They were mad.”

Pinfold then comes to the conclusion that what he is hearing must be a result of some kind of quirk of technology and his erroneous conclusion in this instance will be almost entirely echoed by the electronic harassment people.

For a long time, two hours perhaps, Mr. Pinfold lay in his bunk listening. He was able to hear quite distinctly not only what was said in his immediate vicinity, but elsewhere. He had the light on, now, in his cabin, and as he gazed at the complex of tubes and wires which ran across his ceiling, he realized that they must form some kind of general junction in the system of communication. Through some trick or fault or wartime survival everything spoken in the executive quarters of the ship was transmitted to him….That alone could explain the voices which now kept him informed of every stage of the incident.

All of this was an hallucination but at the time he didn’t know this. At the end of the book Waugh/Pinfold is told by his doctor that his mind had created all of this, but what would be the purpose of a mind deciding to torment itself and explicitly attempt to drive itself insane.

Later in the book he has established a two way form of mental communication:

"You’re driving me mad.” “No, no, Gilbert, you are mad already,” said the duty-officer. “We’re driving you insane.”

Now he was struck with real fear, something totally different from the superficial alarms he had once or twice known in moments of danger, something he had quite often read about and dismissed as over-writing. He was possessed from outside himself with atavistic panic. “O let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven,” he cried.

And in that moment of agony there broke not far from him in the darkness peal upon rising peal of mocking laughter—Goneril’s, It was not an emollient sound. It was devoid of mirth, an obscene cacophony of pure hatred. But it fell on Mr. Pinfold’s ears at that moment like a nursery lullaby. “A hoax,” he said to himself. It was all a hoax on the part of the hooligans. He understood all. They had learned the secret of the defective wiring in his cabin. Somehow they had devised a means of controlling it, somehow they had staged this whole charade to tease him. It was spiteful and offensive, no doubt; it must not happen again. But Mr. Pinfold felt nothing but gratitude in his discovery. He might be unpopular; he might be ridiculous; but he was not mad.

Evelyn Waugh in the guise of Gilbert Pinfold, had failed to face reality at a critical juncture. Rather than face the possibility of being what he termed ‘mad’ he continued to support the improbably fantasy that some quirk of the ship’s electrics was allowing all of these unseen characters to communicate with him. But at the stage at which he starts directly communicating with these unseen voices there is an obvious question:

Then he pondered the new problem: how had Margaret heard his soundless words? That could not be explained on any theory of frayed and crossed wires. As he considered the matter Margaret briefly returned to say: “Not wires, darling. Wireless,” and then was gone again. That perhaps should have given him the clue he sought; should have dispelled the mystery that enveloped him. He would learn in good time; at that moment Mr. Pinfold was baffled, almost stupefied, by the occurrences of the morning and he went down to luncheon at the summons of the gong thinking vaguely in terms of telepathy, a subject on which he was ill-informed.

And ‘ill informed’ very aptly describes the growing legion of those being harassed by demonic voices in the real world at this time, and futilely misconstruing their experiences as being some kind of technology the rudiments about which they think they grasp bit like Pinfold, they are amateurs confusing themselves with half baked pseudo scientific ideas.

This tragic evasion from reality into a retreat of ready made delusion is nowhere more explicit than in parts of the homosexual community in parts of California who lately are reporting significant instances of ‘electronic harassment’.

There was a recent TV report on KMIR News which details the creation of a local community group of members reporting electronic harassment and gang stalking.

The report focuses on three Valley residents who have reported hearing voices uttering derogatory sentences. Kevin Bond, moved to Palm Springs to escape from the gang stalking and another man, Bob Stansfield was a victim of vehicular stalking. All three of these gentlemen, as well as suffering from what they call electronic harassment are also homosexual which is often a sexual developmental abnormality as a result of child abuse. The gentlemen have also created a website areyoutargeted.com and have paid for billboards to be displayed in their area. In a typically American display of poor sense and intellectual impotence such a thing as a ‘Freedom House’ and the organisation Freedom from Covert and Electronic Harassment. Derrick Robinson. and another website freedomfchs.com which will only serve unfortunately to more deeply ingrain this electronic harassment Palm Springs resident believes he is being targeted because he is gay and for me this confirms my analysis perfectly that statistically most homosexuals were sexually abused as children and that child sexual abuse is the primary cause of the onset of schizophrenia. So this man has become schizophrenic, since hearing voices is by definition, a symptom of schizophrenia and is very much

Sadly this story is symptomatic of most people's, and particularly Americans' lack of good sense and their inability of self reflection and objective reality. It is much more comforting for a man who was abused a child to tell himself that the abuse was beneficial and reciprocal, and many gay men who have spoken on this subject such as Stephen Fry and Milo Yiannopoulos all appear to have constructed the same edifice of emotional self defence. Likewise if the mind is so used to the art of self delusion then how much easier it is to tell yourself that your schizophrenia is really a covert attack on you by some government agency merely because you are gay. The Gay lobby see themselves as eternal victims despite now having far more rights than heterosexual Christians, but this sense of victim-hood is a key element of a mind dealing with fear, paranoia and mental illness. From this I would suggest that mental illness is far more common in homosexuals than non-homosexuals. For me the tell-tale signs of a sense of victimhood, in whatever political domain, tell me that we are dealing with a broken disempowered mind. I wonder too, what percentage of feminists with their eternal media howling about their victimhood are also literally schizophrenic or at least dealing with bi-polar symptoms and pre-schizophrenia symptoms such as anxiety and panic-attacks.

Derrick Robinson also featured on Coast to Coast. He was in the US NAVY Naval Air Station and said he was targeted in the 80s with organized stalking. George Noory asks Derrick Robinson if he ever doubted himself and he answers that he didn’t, because he believed that this kind of technology was well within the technological abilities of the US Navy. This is the critical problem of a lack of self reflection. One should always have the humility and self awareness to ask ‘what if I’m wrong?’ even if you don’t think you are. At least the cognitive experiment in alternative views might provide some new insights and clarity about one’s problems. 

One of the biggest question people ask is ‘why am I being targeted?’ again, with a simple dose of self reflection the answer is simple, you are not being targeted, you are mentally ill. Derrick Robinson is also a homosexual. The interview becomes a little sad, almost pathetic in the sense that the irony and pathos comes on pretty thick when Derrick claims that many people are in ‘denial’ about their experience of electronic harassment. The irony of course is that the only denial is that these people will not face the reality that they are mentally ill.

The final delusion which Waugh/Pinfold constructs for himself to avoid the reality that he is mentally ill and his problems have a different cause, is eerily similar to the modern delusion the electronic harassment people have created amongst themselves:

Do you remember the tick with a beard who came to Lychpole from the B.B.C. He is on board with a team bound for Aden. They are going to make recordings of Arab dance music. The tick is called Angel. He has shaved his beard. That is why I didn’t spot him at first. He has some of his family with him—rather a nice sister—travelling I suppose for pleasure. They seem to be cousins of a lot of our neighbors. You might inquire. These B.B.C. people have made themselves a great nuisance to me on board. They have got a lot of apparatus with them, most of it new and experimental. They have something which is really a glorified form of Reggie Upton’s Box. I shall never laugh at the poor Bruiser again. There is a great deal in it. More in fact than he imagines. Angel’s Box is able to speak and to hear. In fact I spend most of my days and nights carrying on conversations with people I never see. They are trying to psycho-analyze me. I know this sounds absurd. The Germans at the end of the war were developing this Box for the examination of prisoners. The Russians have perfected it. They don’t need any of the old physical means of persuasion. They can see into the minds of the most obdurate. The Existentialists in Paris first started using it for psycho-analyzing people who would not voluntarily submit to treatment.

They first break the patient’s nerve by acting all sorts of violent scenes which he thinks are really happening. They confuse him until he doesn’t distinguish between natural sounds and those they induce. They make all kinds of preposterous accusations against him. Then when they get him in a receptive mood they start on their psycho-analysis. As you can imagine it’s a hellish invention in the wrong hands. Angel’s are very much the wrong hands. He’s an amateur and a conceited ass. That young man who came to the hotel with my tickets was there to measure my “life-waves.” I should have thought they could equally well have got them on board. Perhaps there is some particular gadget they have to get in London for each person. I don’t know. There is still a good deal about the whole business I don’t know. When I get back I will make inquiries. I’m not the first person they’ve tried it on. They drove an actor to suicide. I rather suspect they’ve been at work on poor Roger Stillingfleet. In fact I think we shall find a number of our friends who have behaved oddly lately have suffered from Angel. Anyway they have had no success with me. I’ve seen through them. All they have done is to stop my working. So I am leaving them. I shall go straight to the Galleface in Colombo and look round from there for a quiet place in the hills. I’ll telegraph when I arrive which should be about the time you get this letter.”

Kevin Bond observes that the prevalence of electronic voice harassment in Palm Springs occurs to 98 percent gay men and this he no doubt attributes to some weird kind of idea that the Illuminati are dedicating themselves to harassing gay men. In this instance we can shave a lot of nonsense from this whole affair with Occam’s Razor which suggests that logically, the simplest answer to a particular conundrum is usually the right one. In this instance we have a group apparently made up of 98 percent homosexuals all suffering from the symptoms of schizophrenia. We can therefore draw the safe conclusion therefore that schizophrenia seems to be prevalent in homosexuals. The other alternative that the government or some shadowy organization has created a special network of microwave based voice technology to harass homosexuals (for some reason) just doesn’t hold water, especially since the technology described doesn’t even need to exist because we already have something called schizophrenia.

If however, you want to discuss whether certain groups are trying to induce and encourage the development of schizophrenia (for some reason) then you would be much nearer the mark to what is really happening.

A man called John Turner became involved with this FFCHS and after speaking to board member Timothy White and Howard Thompson. According to the website exposinginfragard.com, shortly afterwards John Turner bought a gun and killed his girlfriend and a neighbor, before turning the gun on himself. No doubt he believed these people were covertly harassing him since his delusions had been fueled by the FFCHS. This of course is the very real danger of allowing schizophrenics to nurture their delusions and run with them right to the end. At the end is the point at which people start to get killed.

Another member of the FFCHS named Pam Anderson killed herself shortly after joining the board, she had apparently been a victim of MK Ultra most of her life. I would suggest that she killed herself because she had allowed herself to believe a delusion from which there can be no escape from the voice. Schizophrenia is a psycho-spiritual illness and there are spiritual and psychological approaches to this illness which can prove highly effective in diminish and even completely eliminating the symptoms. 

Zen meditation,  Orthomolecular medicine, prayer and a personal engagement with Jesus Christ will all prove much more effective means of preventing the voices. The very worst thing one can do in the grip of a delusion is to seek refuge deeper in the delusion and even join with others on the same path. This will lead to total estrangement from reality and, as we have seen, possibly a premature death by suicide or stress induced heart attack.

This is the danger and prison of delusion and it is most apt that in Waugh’s experience, it was only once he no longer believed in the delusion that he was either in communication with these people as a quirk of the ship’s electrical network of cables, and after that delusion had run its course, that it was something to do with the BBC people who had some reason for harassing him just as Waugh had felt harassed during the interview, only after these delusions had been exposed for what they were that he was finally free of the voices.

“I may as well tell you the truth,” said Angel. “We never were in that ship. We worked the whole thing from the studio in England.” “They must be working the whole thing from a studio in England,” said Mr. Pinfold. “My poor darling,” said Mrs. Pinfold, “no one’s “worked” anything. You’re imagining it all. Just to make sure I asked Father Westmacott as you suggested. He says the whole thing’s utterly impossible. There just isn’t any sort of invention by the Gestapo or the B.B.C. or the Existentialists or the psycho-analysts—nothing at all, the least like what you think.” “No Box?” “No Box.” “Don’t believe her. She’s lying. She’s lying,” said Goneril but with every word her voice dwindled as though a great distance was being put between them. Her last word was little more than the thin grating of a slate-pencil.

And finally once there was no more grounds to believe the voices had any reality or reason to access you. They disappear. So giving the voices an excuse as some people do, and playing the victim ‘it’s because I’m gay’ and believing there is a technological means to access your mind, will almost certainly guarantee that the poor victims will be hounded until the end of their lives.

Just say NO to electronic harassment and say NO to the self deluded ones and charlatans who want you to believes it’s real. These voices are demonic and can only access you with the power of your belief that they can do so. It’s a nasty trap to get caught in.
